Born: 20 February 1949 in Netrokona, a subdivision (now a district) of Bangladesh. Now he permanently lives in Dhaka, capital city of Bangladesh. His father late Akhil Bandhu Saha was a teacher & a philosopher, mother was a house wife & singer. He has three sisters and two brothers, wife Anjana Saha, also a poet, teacher & singer. His elder son Avra Saha now living in Canada was working in UNDP and youngest son now involved with a publication house. Asim Saha has taken his Master’s degree in Bengali language & literature from the Dhaka University. He started his journey as a poet from 1964. Still he is moving with his writing like a youth. This time his 35 books have been published. He has got all the prestigious Literary Award of Bangladesh.
Asim Saha is also a lyricist, composer, tuner of songs, an actor in TV serial & film.
