Although she is a lecturer of Engineering at North South University, Dhaka, Humaira Noor’s passion lies in writing. Hence her involvement with monsoonletters.com as an assistant editor. Primarily a poet and a short story writer, her work has been published in the international journal “Urban Confusions”, and in the anthologies “Sticks and Stones” and “Monsoonletters: Poetry Collection”. Humaira is actively involved in the writing community through the group ‘Unstable Poets’ formed and trained by the British Council, Dhaka. She has also won the Hay Festival Poetry Competition in 2012.
