Ruby Rahman has been a teacher and a journalist, but is best know as a poet, Her work has been anthologised in both Bangladesh and India, and published in the U.S. journals. She serves on the editorial board of Kali o Kalam, a Bengali monthly literary journal, and on the jury board of the daily Prothom Alo Literary Award
